These two roughnecks was working real hard on
the drilling rig one day.
Their boss was sitting on a hill under a shade tree.
One of the roughnecks said to the other, "Why do
we have to work so hard while the boss sits under
a shade tree?"
The other one said, "Why don't you go ask him?"
So he went and asked him.
The boss said, "See my hand?" He had it in front of
a tree.
The boss said, "Hit it."
So the old roughneck drew his hand back and just
as he swung the boss pulled his hand away and
said, "It's just a matter of intelligence!"
